Synopsis:
Ahmed Nurudin, the main character of the film, is a middle-aged dervish, and head of the khaniqah/ tekke of the Mevlevi order in Ottoman Bosnia. The news brought about that his brother has been arrested for political reasons, changes his humble and peaceful life. Trying to help his brother, he confronts the authorities and society, which is seriously shaking his worldview and way of life. In addition to psychological issues, the film expresses many philosophical issues related to human life, society and politics, and also analyzes the social and political situation in Bosnia during the Ottoman Empire.
