Drive-in cinema „Dolly Bell“: opening prolonged
Film Center Sarajevo informs the audience and citizens of Sarajevo that, due to unstable weather conditions, the announced opening of Drive-In cinema “Dolly Bell” in the area of the former Film Studio Jagomir, will be postponed until the next weekend (August 18th and 19th). A planned film and music-entertainment program (which was supposed to last over 4 hours), within which should be shown digitally restored versions of the films “Remember Dolly Bell” and “Valter Defends Sarajevo”, with accompanying guests and performance of the band playing a repertoire dedicated to music from the classical 7th art, will be held when new conditions for maintenance are achieved.
The Sarajevo Film Center is continuing its activities with the revitalization of the former Jagomir Film Studio through this activity, as well as others that are largely implemented through the public action “Save film goods of BiH.” Also, today the Film Center Sarajevo has successfully completed the first phase of renovation and adaptation of previously forgotten spaces in which the film archive of the center that represents cultural and film goods of BiH is kept.
During the following week, in partnership with the Mediterranean Film Festival in Široki Brijeg, a retrospective of the classics of the “Sarajevo School of Documentary Film” will be held, as the choice of the director of this documentary film festival.
